CEPHIA hosts symposium affiliated to the 2013 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) in Atlanta.
This meeting was an opportunity to present the first wave of substantial preliminary results offering an independent evaluation of the most well known incidence assays. Attendees represented major funders, UNAIDS, industry, and active research units – in particular some recent recipients of support from BMGF, which funds CEPHIA.
Gary Murphy, CEPHIA Principle Investigator, presents the background to the CEPHIA project.
Reshma Kassanjee, lead statistician, presents first ever independent comparison of performance characteristics of the most common HIV incidence assays.
